In What Mess?, a mom sees a messy

A little girl sees play in progress everywhere.

On every page, the child explains what’s really happening —

the teddy bears are having a picnic,

the dolls are taking a nap,

the paint is drying on a very important project.

And every explanation ends the same way:

“Mommy must know this.”

The repetition helps pre-readers anticipate what’s coming next —

and lets them “read” the book before they can read the words.

Outrageously silly, kids will easily understand the perspective of both characters,

leaving the ultimate message that often there are several ways to look at a problem.
