Lesson 93: Moses' Objection — 'Slow of Speech and Tongue'
In our journey through Exodus (Lessons 81–105), we arrive at a pivotal turning point at the burning
bush. Moses has seen his staff turn into a serpent, his hand made leprous and restored, and water poured onto dry ground
turn to blood. Yet, when faced with the overwhelming call to stand before Pharaoh and lead Israel out of bondage, Moses
focuses on his own inadequacy: 'Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent... I am slow of speech and tongue.' (Exodus 4:10).
God's response does not deny Moses' physical limitations; instead, God reframes the entire equation around His sovereign
power as Creator. God engineered the human voice, the larynx, the ears, and the eyes! God reassures Moses: 'I will help
you speak and will teach you what to say.' Today, we explore this core theological encounter alongside six full
cross-curricular school rotations—covering ELA, Science & Anatomy, Mathematics & Physics, Social Studies & Law, SEL,
and History—while preparing rigorous, above-grade-level documentation for your child's official State Standards Notebook.
