Rahab Made Simple
Rahab of Jericho -- the scarlet cord, faith that hid the spies, and a Gentile woman grafted into the lineage of Christ (Joshua 2:17-21; 6:22-25; Hebrews 11:31).
Rahab Made Simple is a Bible-first walk through Joshua 2 and 6: the harlot's house on the town wall, the spies hidden under flax, the oath on the roof, the scarlet cord bound in the window, the walls fallen flat and one house standing, the portrait hung in the hall of faith, the marriage to Salmon, the mother of Boaz, and the wild branch grafted into the line that led to Bethlehem's manger.
Explicitly Trinitarian: God the Father who chose a woman Jericho despised; Jesus Christ -- Son of God and Son of Man, Lord and Savior, whose lineage runs through Rahab to David to Bethlehem; and the Holy Spirit, who awakened her faith and who alone breaks every stronghold. Every prayer is to the Father, through Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit.
