Get students moving while they practice reflections on the coordinate plane with this Reflections Task Cards Activity. Students work through reflection problems by matching each task card to the correct image on their answer sheet, then using the given reflection rule to complete the transformation.

This activity can be used as a grab-and-solve activity. Hang the problem cards on the board or around the room. Students grab one card, return to their seats to solve it, place the card back, and choose another problem to continue working through the set.

The answer sheet includes transparent images for students to match with the correct task card before completing the reflection. Reflection rules include the x-axis, y-axis, x = lines, y = lines, and two challenge problems using y = x and y = -x.
