One Choice

Ed has been captured by a crazy doctor who confused him for a secret agent. The doctor told him he would give him a chance to leave; all he had to do was drink one of three bottles, two of them containing poison. Ed could ask one question and then make his choice, but was the doctor truthful, or was this one of his tricks?
