The Manger's Miracle: A Christmas Novella
The Manger’s Miracle is a richly imagined and illustrated Christmas novella that retells the story of Christ’s birth in chronological order, following the Gospel accounts recorded by Matthew and Luke. Though firmly rooted in Scripture, it remains a work of historical fiction. Every effort has been made to stay faithful to the biblical text, while allowing certain imagined details to bring the story to life.
For example, the shepherds and wise men are given names and personalities not mentioned in the Bible. These additions are not intended to replace Scripture, but to help readers reflect more deeply on what it might have been like to witness the arrival of the Messiah.
My aim has been to remain within the bounds of what is biblically possible, without venturing into what is merely fanciful. In every chapter, I have sought to preserve the truth and theology of the Gospels. To ensure theological accuracy, I have drawn heavily from the ESV Expository Commentary on Matthew and Luke.
Whether read by candlelight on Christmas Eve or savoured in the quiet days of Advent, this story will awaken fresh wonder and lead your heart to rejoice with exceeding joy.
