Kimmy Bra 30-40 B

Kimmy is a pdf sewing pattern you can use to make a soft cup bra. The bra is sized for B cups. Band sizes are 30-40, with instructions for customizing the fit. A motivated beginner should be able to make this pattern, but it is rated intermediate. You will need to know how to sew a dart or consult a reference. The fullness of the cups is controlled by a dart. However, if you have more than a 2" difference between your bust and underbust, the bra may not fit properly. Please refer to the size chart given in the photos. The cups can be lined with fleece or poly laminate foam. Suggested materials for the bra are woven cottons or flannel. The lining should be silky. Choose from apparel lining fabrics, satin, rayon or faux silk. I strongly suggest making a muslin. No special materials are needed for the trial bra. 1/4 yard of scrap fabric and two yards of 1/4" elastic will be enough. The bra includes a tutorial for making your own straps. You will need 1/4 yard woven fabric for the cups, 1/4 yard silky fabric for the lining, two straps and a buckle. If you prefer, you may use a hook and eye to close the bra. In addition, you will need one yard of plush elastic or 1 yard of 5/8" fold over elastic for the bottom band. A measurement chart is provided in the item photos.
