If you are going to move permanently from poverty to prosperity, from defeat to victory, from failure to success and from nobody to somebody, you need to address this spirits.

In most African countries, our forefathers, despite their wisdom and resilience, unknowingly opened spiritual doors that allowed the enemy to take control of their destinies. Many were deceived into worshiping demonic spirits, believing that they were honoring their ancestors or protecting their families. The Bible tells us in (Hosea 4:6), “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

This lack of understanding has allowed generations to remain in spiritual bondage, facing cycles of poverty, sickness, and defeat.

Even today, many people, despite being born again, continue to struggle under the weight of these unseen forces. This is because being a Christian does not guarantee automatic victory. It provides the doorway to the victories that Christ has already won, but it is up to us to walk through it and enforce that victory. Many remain trapped in the same cycles their ancestors faced, not realizing that the authority to overcome these forces is already within them.

Consider the story of Moses and the Israelites at the Red Sea (Exodus 14). God had delivered them from Egypt, but they still faced the waters of the Red Sea, an obstacle they needed to overcome before they could reach the Promised Land.

This is symbolic of the marine spirits that hold many individuals and families back today. Just as God parted the sea and freed His people from Pharaoh, we too must confront and defeat the marine spirits before we can experience the fullness of God’s blessings.
