Print Spring Tell-A-Story Sticks PDF on cardstock and cut on lines/print on paper and cut on lines and laminate them. Stick the cards to the sticks and put them face down.
A player picks 5 story sticks, puts them in line, and starts the story. A player can arrange the story sticks in whatever order they want to make the story unfold in the way they see fit. Younger children might need more assistance from you. “Once upon a time there was/were … ” Then you can help them by asking some leading questions if they get stuck. You might also need to show them how to connect all the parts of the story together because kids tend to describe each element on the sticks separately. That said, resist the temptation to impose your ideas on the storyteller.
