The Mixdown
The exact workflow behind every mix I finish.
You don't need better plugins.
They need a better order of decisions.
The exact workflow behind every mix I finish.
You don't need better plugins.
They need a better order of decisions.
For decades, professional mixing was associated with large-format consoles, racks full of analog hardware and studios that only a handful of producers could access.
Today, that's no longer the reality.
With the right workflow, trained listening and consistent engineering decisions, it's entirely possible to achieve professional, club-ready mixes using nothing more than your DAW.
This course isn't about recreating an analog studio.
It's about understanding why great records translate, regardless of the tools used to make them.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to release music, collaborate with talented artists, and work on records for clients and labels from different parts of the world.
The records that stand the test of time are built on trained ears, consistent decisions and a workflow you can trust every time you open a new session.
Everything you'll see in this course is the exact workflow I use for my own productions, collaborations, client work and label releases.
No unnecessary theory.
No plugin hype.
Just a complete and repeatable workflow designed to help you build professional mixes entirely in the box.
Terence :Terry:
This is the exact workflow I've refined over years of producing, DJing, mastering and preparing records for labels, clients and my own releases.
Every decision has been tested where it matters most:
in the studio...
and on real dancefloors.
Build a clean, efficient session
that supports fast decisions from the very beginning.
All the modules that come before the actual mix : everything that helps me hear the music more clearly before making a single mixing decision, it is what i called Perception.
Balance the low-end, control energy,
and create a solid rhythmic backbone.
Learn how I create cohesion between the kick, bass, primary drums and supporting percussion, so the groove feels solid, balanced.
You'll get your column vertebral.
Organize the mix, create depth, and give every element its own space.
Learn how to create space across the midrange by making conscious mono and stereo decisions. Position every musical element where it belongs, giving your mix the width, focus and cohesive "ball" that translates on real club sound systems.
Step back, identify weaknesses, and make the final corrections
that elevate the mix.
The most important decisions often happen after stepping away from the mix. Learn how to come back with fresh ears, confirm your original vision, and make the subtle adjustments that transform
a good mix into a finished one.
Apply the exact stereo bus processing chain I use before exporting a professional pre-master.
Step away from the multitrack session and focus entirely on the stereo bus. With fewer distractions, you'll refine the final balance, control resonances and peaks, and apply the last touches of color. Then, compression and saturation before exporting a professional pre-master and put yourself also into a loudness scenario with Reverse Engineer.

👉This course is for producers who want to build simple, reliable mixing techniques in the box, based on the workflow I've developed as a producer and active DJ, tested over many years on real dancefloors.
Inside this course you'll discover:
✅ The exact workflow I use every day for my own productions, collaborations and client work.
✅ Every decision explained in context—not only what to do, but why it matters.
✅ A complete process, from the first imported stems to the final pre-master.
✅ Real sessions, real records and real engineering decisions.
✅ A workflow designed for electronic music, but applicable to any DAW.
✅ No unnecessary theory.
✅ No plugin hype.
✅ Just a repeatable system you can rely on every time you start a new mix.
The final chapter introduces my Reverse Engineer approach, helping you understand how a mix behaves under pressure before mastering and why some records achieve loudness naturally while others never do.
This isn't another mixing course.
It's the exact workflow I've refined over years of productions, collaborations, mastering work and label releases.
The same workflow I still use every day.
I’ve known Terry through his music production work for over 20 years, so having the opportunity to learn directly from him has been an absolute privilege.
Beyond being an outstanding artist, Terence is also an exceptional technician and a world-class teacher. No matter your current level, he has the rare ability to help you make rapid progress by sharing both his deep knowledge and his practical production techniques in a clear and inspiring way.
What I appreciate most is that Terence truly practices what he teaches. He’s an active producer with real-world experience, and for me, that’s the ultimate mark of quality and credibility.
I was stuck in a writers’ block and not progressing in my engineering and creative knowledge until I reached out to Terry. He is super knowledgeable, has a lot of experience and treats me as a colleague instead of student. My mixing and mastering has improved massively and found a new work flow creatively that I’m really enjoying. Highly recommended
We are Artefact, an electronic music label from Morocco. We entrusted the mastering of a VA release to Prodig Studio Lab, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Communication was smooth and easy, with great responsiveness throughout the process. The mastering quality was outstanding and clearly enhanced the listening experience, bringing clarity, balance, and cohesion to the VA. We highly recommend Prodig Studio Lab.
