REQUIRED SKILLS

To use this pattern, prior crochet experience is required. It is intended for intermediate crocheters or confident beginners. 

You should already be comfortable with the following stitches (US crochet terms) :

- slip knot, slip stitch, chain, turning chain

- single crochet

- 3-single-crochet increase

- 2-single-crochet increase

GAUGE

10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) square / 7 mm hook = 10 sc x 11 rows

MATERIALS AND TOOLS NEEDED

• Hooks - 7 mm (plus 6 mm/J-10 and 3 mm/D)
• Tapestry needle to weave in the ends
• Scissors
• Stitch markers
• Yarn - Alize Baby Softy (1 skein = 115 m (126 yd) / 50 g (1.75 Oz), 100% micro-polyester) by Alize (7 colors, total of 41 skeins) - (2 strands held together)

Note:

- This pattern is made with bulky yarn in mind - 7 wpi. Therefore, to work with this pattern, you can either use a single strand of yarn, if the yarn itself is bulky, or you can hold two strands of any thinner yarn, such as Alize Baby Softy (14 wpi), as long as those two strings give 7 wpi.
