Neurodivergent Communication Toolkit
Are you often misunderstood as an ADHDer or neurodivergent person?
I get it.
As someone with an ADHD diagnosis, I know what it feels like to have your motives, character, or purpose judged — simply because your communication style doesn’t always match what’s considered “typical.”
Sometimes we speak fast. Sometimes we interrupt. Not out of rudeness, but because our brains are fast, full, and buzzing with connections. On our “good” days, that energy can feel electric. But when we’re tired or overwhelmed? It might come out as scattered, impulsive, or intense.
Even within neurodivergent spaces, communication can still misfire — because each of us process and express our selves differently.
So how do we protect our dignity, advocate for ourselves, and invite more understanding in everyday moments — without shutting down or masking?
