Botanic Garden, Parks and Scenic Attractions of Jamaica

This book details several of Jamaica's botanical gardens, each with unique characteristics and histories: Bath Botanical Gardens, Castleton Gardens, Cinchona Gardens and Hope Gardens. Jamaica's natural landscape is a significant part of its heritage, and the book describes several key sites: Bamboo Avenue, Black River, Blue Hope, Cockpit Country, Dunn's River, Glistening Waters, Holywell, Lovers' Leap and Rio Grande. The book also highlights significant parks and historical locations in Kingston such as Kingston Racecourse/National Heroes Park and St. William Grant Park.

There is also mention that Jamaica has established national parks to protect its natural heritage, which is under threat from pollution and deforestation. The Montego Bay Marine Park and the Blue and John Crow Mountains National Park are the two that have been established so far. Investigations are also underway to create a protected area in the Cockpit Country.
