The Crossing Point Workbook
The Crossing Point: A Workbook in Radical Immanence is a companion to the Here Is Enough Workbook. It does not ask you to transcend your life. It asks you to look more carefully at where you are standing.
Here Is Enough pointed inward and downward, into the present moment, the ordinary Wednesday, the body carrying more than usual this morning. This workbook extends that attention along a new axis. Not forward into goals or backward into regret, but downward into the sediment of what made you, and forward into the ground you are forming for people who come after.
You are alluvial. That is a geological term for material carried by moving water and deposited somewhere new. You are built from language deposited by people long dead. You carry grief that was not originally yours. Your assumptions were shaped by people with reasons to build them that way. And everything you are doing right now is adding to the sediment that future people will stand on and be formed by.
You are not a self moving through time. You are the place where time crosses itself.
This workbook works through that idea in eight parts, with reflection prompts, practices, and a seven-day sequence that can be used alongside the Here Is Enough practice or on its own. You will look at the Wheel of Fortune and what Boethius found in his prison cell. You will sit with the grief that is older than you. You will ask what you are depositing in the people closest to you. You will practice the seven generations question not as an ethical rule but as a method of attention. You will learn to sit at the crossing point, feeling the weight below and the weight above and returning, again and again, to the center, which has always been here.
This is not a self-improvement program. It is an honest reckoning with the structure you are already inside. The obligation it surfaces is not chosen. It is constitutional. It comes from what you actually are.
Here is enough. Here is also enormous.
