Tomodachi means “friends” in Japanese. This hat’s name is Tomodachi because it’s such a quick and easy knit that you’ll easily be able to knit one up for all of your friends! The sample hats only took an evening to start and finish, each!

The brim of the hat is knit side to side first, then sts are picked up to create the body and crown of the hat. The brim offers two options for finishing, one involving seaming, and the other kitchener stitch. Links have been provided to aid with either version.

Notes
Due to the nature of superwash wool, wet blocking may cause the hat to grow larger. Sometimes, a quick tumble by itself in the dryer (5 min intervals, it should come out of the dryer damp), can help a superwash yarn bounce back into shape. Please do NOT try this with a non-superwash wool! If you do not want to risk the size of your hat changing significantly, steam blocking is an alternative method, but this did not allow the yarn to bloom and soften.
