Butter Pecan

When I think of Butter Pecan ice cream, I am transported back to my childhood and I am at Baskin Robbins waiting in line for my turn to be helped. I never bothered looking at the other 30 flavors because I was (and still am) a creature of habit and would always order the exact same thing: a scoop of Cookies & Cream and a scoop of Butter Pecan on a sugar cone. I have always taken comfort in knowing what to expect. Butter Pecan was the first flavor of homemade ice cream I made back in 2013. My first bite was magical. There is nothing better than toasted pecans cooked down in butter and sugar, swimming in a brown sugar-kissed base. The hint of cinnamon on the candied nuts adds another layer of delicious flavor. I must apologize in advance, as one scoop will most likely not be enough. It truly is that delicious! I'm sorry and you're welcome!
