What you've always wanted your ice cream to taste like!

My final recipe for July is this perfectly delicious Summer Plum Crisp ice cream. Here you have brown sugar kissed ice cream with swirls of luscious plum sauce, and loads of oat crumble made with brown sugar, cinnamon, and finished with a touch of salt. Ripe, fresh plums are cooked down to become a concentrated sauce, bursting with plum flavor. The recipe calls for a whisper of ginger (with an option to add more to your liking, of course) which pairs perfectly with the fruit as well as the oat topping. Plums are so lovely this time of year, but feel free to substitute another stone fruit for the plums. If you do this, you may want to opt for cinnamon instead of ginger, or no spice at all if that is your preference. I hope this one brings a smile to your face! Happy Summer! Happy Churning!
