These cosy slippers were inspired by the small windows of light peaking through the sky as the fall season unravels. They are comfortable house socks with a cabin in the woods feel, keeping feet warm for walks amongst tall trees. The texture motif is made of twisted stitches that ondulate and show here and there the faux eyelet cable, like bursts of sunlight between branches. The slippers are knitted from the cuff down, with two heel options and a rounded toe.
The pattern includes charted and written instructions for the texture.

Yarn :
You will need 400 m – 438 yds of fingering weight sock yarn.
The sample was knit using Woolentwine Corriedale Sock in Shrimp.

Needles :
2.25 mm (US 1) circular needles or DPNs
or size required to get gauge

Gauge :
32 sts x 46 rnds per 10 cm – 4" in stockinette stitch after blocking
36 sts x 46 rnds per 10 cm – 4" in texture motif after blocking

Sizes:
The pattern is written for a 68 (72 / 76 / 80 / 84) stitch count.
20 (21.25 / 22.5 / 23.75 / 25) cm – 7 ¾ (8 ¼ / 8 ¾ / 9 ¼ / 9 ¾)" finished circumference.
Measure your foot at its widest point under the toes and choose a size that matches your measurement.

Ces chaussons confortables sont inspirés par les fins rayons de lumière qui percent le ciel en automne. Ce sont des chaussettes plutôt larges avec un motif texturé fait de mailles torses qui ondulent et laissent paraître ici et là des fausses torsades en jetés. Les chaussettes se tricotent des côtes vers la pointe, avec deux talons au choix et une pointe ronde.
Le patron contient des instructions écrites et en diagramme.

Laine :
Vous aurez besoin de 400 m de laine à chaussettes fingering.
Le modèle est tricoté avec Woolentwine Corriedale Sock coloris Shrimp.

Aiguilles :
aiguilles circulaires ou double-pointes numéro 2.25 mm
ou numéro nécessaire pour obtenir le bon échantillon
