Gooseberry Shawl came together as an “any yardage, any gauge” project for some very special souvenir yarn in my stash. This tip-to-tip shawl pattern can be adjusted to almost any amount of yarn - just weigh it in the beginning, knit until half is used, then start decreasing!

Gooseberry is a comfortable small shawl full of texture inspired by the intricate shapes of the gooseberry plant. Its traveling stitches and cables mirror the graceful flow of leaves and vines around the delicate berry-like nupps. Perfect for adding a touch of coziness to any day, this shawl is a timeless piece for all seasons.

The shawl is worked from tip to tip with increases along one edge for the first half of the pattern and mirrored decreases for the second. The edges are polished with built-in i-cord. The tips of the shawl are decorated with playful bobbles (this step can be skipped if desired). Directions are both charted and written out. Videos for nupps and cabling without the cable needle are provided.
