Quantum Beast: Spooky Action In Close Proximity

Quantum mechanics is considered unintuitive because we don’t observe quantum phenomena in our classical, macroscopic world. But, what if that wasn’t the case? What would that look like? As the cover of this book foreshadows, this is a tale of a fantastical, macroscopic beast that exhibits quantum properties. And although the quantum mechanics in this book cannot be right, I tried very hard to achieve a threshold of “not wrong.” Hopefully, the enjoyability of the story will offset the creative liberties I had to take. I stretched reality to include a fire-breathing dragon, and then I stretched it a little bit more. I hope that the imagery – the mental model – is helpful to those who may be puzzled by quantum phenomena.
