MATERIALS NEEDED:

• 12.5" x 5" piece laminated cotton
• one 1/2" swivel snap
• one 1" ( 24mm) split ring
• 1/2" wide twill tape or ribbon - 10" long piece
• 6" zipper
• 3.5" length of 1/4" double fold seam binding
• Marking pen
• Zipper foot for your sewing machine
• Thread

I have my sons to thank for the inspiration behind this cute design. Looking for a fun way for them to keep track of their pocket money (when they were little), I came up with this mini back pack which they could then clip onto their clothes (works great on the zipper pull of a jacket, for example).

A design this fun and easy to sew deserves to be shared! Not only are these a great way to store a bit of cash/change, they make a great doll accessory and a fabulous gift. I bet you can't stop at sewing just one! :o)
