Of all the lawmen, outlaws and anti-heroes of the Wild West, none would strike fear into the hearts of enemies quite like O'Neil, a young gorilla raised in America and with the gun-skills of the greatest masters of all time. If you haven't heard of him in your history books, that's just because those who met as friends knew better than to talk about him, and those who met his as enemies never had the chance.

THE SIX-GUN GORILLA appeared as a 15-part serial in 1939, author unknown, in The Wizard, a popular British boys' magazine published by D.C. Thomson & Company, London and Dundee, from September 1922 to November 1963.
