The shortest path between two points is a straight line … but that doesn’t mean it’s the most fun! Zigzagging mosaics interspersed with simple garter stitch draw the eye from one section to the next in this easy mosaic knit design.


Choose anywhere from two to twelve colors with good contrast and enjoy your journey!


Yarn

Miss Babs Yowza

100% superwash Merino wool; 560 yd/8 oz (512 m/225 g) skeins


1 skein in each of 2 colors, shown in Tempo (MC) and Mountain Meadow (CC)


Or 480 yards/439 meters in main color and 460 yards/421 meters of a similar DK weight yarn in contrast color.

Needles

US 6 [4.0 mm] circular needle, 24”/60 cm, or size to obtain gauge


Gauge

Blocked: 22 stitches and 30 rows = 4”/10 cm square in

garter stitch

Blocked: 22 stitches and 40 rows = 4”/10 cm square in

mosaic pattern


Gauge is not crucial for this project, but will affect yardage and finished size if different from above.
