The FERRIS WHEEL

The Ferris Wheel is a short piano piece that reminds me of a Ferris Wheel I saw in Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, years ago. This late intermediate piece is demanding because of the challenging fingering that was chosen to get the best legato and phrasing possible for how I imagined it to be played. Ultimately, fingering is a very individual decision, so students should use the fingering that best fits his or her hand. Teachers could use this song to discuss the concept of fingering and its various intricacies.
