Në dhjetorin e vitit 1963, kur futbolli ynë sapo kishte nisur të shfaqej në skenën ndërkombëtare, një skuadër shqiptare udhëtoi mijëra kilometra larg atdheut për t’u përballur me disa prej emrave më të njohur të futbollit të vendeve socialiste.

Ishte “Partizani”, skuadra e ushtrisë shqiptare, që do të përfaqësonte vendin në një turne ndërkombëtar të futbollit ushtarak, të zhvilluar në Vietnamin e Veriut.

Five matches, one final, and a story Albania should not forget.

In December 1963, when Albanian football had only just begun to appear on the international stage, an Albanian team travelled thousands of kilometres from home to face some of the best-known names in the football of socialist countries.

It was “Partizani”, the Albanian army’s team, that would represent the country in an international military football tournament held in North Vietnam.
