For over thirty years, the author has travelled throughout Greece, and for the past ten has called it home. Along the way, she has learned the secrets of traditional Greek cooking directly from local women and home cooks.

Each recipe is a little journey through Mediterranean flavors: fragrant herbs and spices, ripe vegetables, olive oil, citrus, honey and simple, genuine ingredients. These are recipes meant to be made at home, shared around the table and enjoyed without complicated techniques or hard-to-find ingredients.

But this book has another purpose close to the author’s heart.

All proceeds support the Aegean Cats Fund, helping to feed, care for and look after local cat colonies in Greece.
