The architecture of the Vivencia session 2: Composing the Arc
The Biodanza Craft — Session 2: Composing the Arc
How do we transform a creative impulse into a coherent Biodanza vivencia for a particular group?
In this 90-minute professional learning session, we explore the methodological choices involved in composing a vivencia: from defining a clear objective to creating a progression in which every exercise, piece of music and consigna contributes to the same experiential journey.
The vivencia is approached as a story. Each exercise is a chapter, and the facilitator creates the conditions through which participants can dance that story in their own unique way.
In this session, we explore:
- How to give a creative impulse a coherent vivencial form
- The relationship between movement, music and vivencia as mechanisms of action
- How the consigna directs attention and supports the proposed experience
- Different starting points for composing a vivencia
- How to build from the objective towards the complete sequence
- How to compose backwards from a key exercise
- How to prepare the group for a central experience and support what follows
- How to assess the coherence, progression and necessity of each exercise
- Common methodological problems that can weaken the arc of a vivencia
The session begins with the archetypal position Evocation and Liberation of Internal Energy / Evocación y Liberación de la Energía Interna, which is experienced and examined as an expression of the creative act.
This learning package includes:
- The complete recording of the session
