The complete manual behind the Tomita Method.
Second Edition · 110-page full-colour PDF · instant download
Pain rarely begins where it is felt. Fascia is continuous, and tension travels along it — so the tissue that hurts is usually not the tissue that is holding. This is the working manual that shows a therapist how to locate the anchorage that holds a fascial chain, and how to release it with the hands.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• The anatomy and mechanics of deep fascia — layered collagen, the gliding layer, hyaluronic acid and fasciacytes
• How gliding fails: densification and fibrosis, and why that distinction matters clinically
• The fascial chain and the suspension-bridge model of anchorages
• Region-by-region hand technique: lower back, knee and leg, hip, dorsal arm and shoulder blade, neck and more
• Step-by-step treatment sequences with clear illustrations and a safety note for every area
• Self-care strokes you can teach your clients between sessions
WHO IT IS FOR
Massage therapists, manual therapists, osteopaths, physiotherapists and bodyworkers who want a structured, anatomically grounded approach they can reproduce reliably.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Norio Tomita, Ph.D. — Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Keio University) and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (Université de Montréal), with doctoral research on low back pain and fascia using ultrasound imaging.
