THE LAST PROMISE

By Michael Kirkness

A promise. A loss. A reckoning.

How far would a father go to uncover the truth about his daughter's death?

When Mick Sullivan loses his daughter Emily, his world falls apart. Struggling with grief, guilt and a promise he can no longer ignore, he finds himself drawn into the dangerous underworld of Sydney.

At the centre of it all is Nathan Haddad, an ambitious property developer whose growing empire is built on debt, deception and dangerous connections.

When contractor Daniel Vella mysteriously disappears, suspicions deepen, loyalties begin to fracture, and the truth becomes increasingly difficult to bury.

As Mick searches for answers, he discovers that justice is rarely straightforward—and that some secrets carry a terrible price.

Set against the streets, suburbs and hidden corners of Sydney, The Last Promise is a gripping Australian crime drama exploring family, betrayal, grief, revenge and the extraordinary lengths a father will go to for the daughter he loved.

Some promises are made in love. Others demand a reckoning.

For readers who enjoy emotionally powerful crime fiction, realistic Australian characters and suspenseful stories with heart.
