Pumpkin Nature Study

This nature study is perfect if you are a parent or a childcare provider. Within it you will learn the full life cycle of the pumpkin from seed to decay. It is full of amazing activities, nature crafts, baking and mindfulness, which all use natural or sustainable materials that you will likely have lying around the house or are easily foraged in nature, keeping costs down.

Even though it's not spooky season until October, you can start this study from April.

Every activity has a step by step guide, including photos which make them so easy to follow. But if your child/children want to do something completely different with the resources you provide them, please encourage this and support their curiosity and creativity. Children learn so much more when they are allowed to lead their own learning.

Every activity has learning outcomes in line with the 7 areas of learning in the EYFS early years framework. Ofsted have seen this study and really liked it.
