In this Snowman in a Snow Globe winter art lesson, students use acrylic paint (or tempera, if you prefer) to paint a whimsical snowman inside a snow globe. Along the way they focus on color blending, shading and composition.

It is a print-and-go lesson paced to fit into December before winter break, and the finished paintings make a bright winter bulletin board or hallway display.
