This Ebook explores the spiritual journey of walking with Jesus “up to Jerusalem,” a phrase in the Gospels that signifies more than a physical destination. Jerusalem represents revelation, decisive choices, sacrifice, and hope emerging from failure, pointing to Jesus’ Passion, death, and Resurrection. Intended as a guide for Lent, the book emphasises conversion, prayer, and attentive inner listening rather than outward achievement.

Through the stories of Nicodemus, the Rich Young Man, Martha and Mary of Bethany, Peter, and the Centurion under the cross, the book illustrates diverse ways of approaching Jesus, through fear, devotion, love, ambition, misunderstanding, or persistent questioning. Each encounter offers a unique path of transformation, showing that no journey towards God is identical, yet all unfold within God’s patient mercy.

Structured according to the rhythm of Lent, the book begins with an introduction to the journey itself, follows five weeks of reflections on each biblical figure, and concludes with daily meditations for Holy Week. Many reflections were written in Jerusalem, shaped by prayer and immersion in the places where the Gospel events occurred. The text invites readers to walk faithfully with Jesus, experiencing the road to Jerusalem as a path where death is confronted, love is revealed, and life is renewed.
