Prairie View

Prairie View, created created by John Robert Beck in 2010, is an abstract interpretation of Prairie School art glass design, where structure and natural energy come together in a unified composition. The piece features bold geometric framing reminiscent of architectural window patterns, intersected by circular focal points that anchor the design.

Behind this structured framework, vibrant bursts of reds, golds, and greens radiate outward in layered, textured motion. The effect evokes sunlight sweeping across an open prairie landscape, full of warmth, movement, and quiet intensity. The contrast between rigid geometry and organic energy creates a dynamic balance, reflecting both the discipline of design and the freedom of nature.
