Bolly Waistcoat is a unisex knit with subtle zig zag details along the hem. The sleeveless knit is finished with ribbed edges along armholes and the v-neck opening. The zig zag effect is achieved by contrasting knits and purls edged by twisted stitches. The piece is worked in the round making it easy to adjust the length as you knit.
Sizes: S (M, L, XL)
Small: UK sizes 8-10, to fit approx 92cm/36″ chest (8 balls of yarn)
Medium: UK sizes 12-14, to fit approx 100cm/39″ chest (9 balls of yarn)
Large: UK sizes 16-18, to fit approx 108cm/42″ chest (10 balls of yarn)
X-Large: UK sizes 20-22, to fit approx 116cm/45″ chest (10 balls of yarn)
Yarn: Worsted/Aran weight yarn, approx 77m/50g. Sample made using Purl Alpaca Designs 100% pure alpaca Medium yarn, 77m/50g: 8 (9, 10, 10) balls.
Tension: 15 sts and 21 rows to 10cm square using 6 mm needles measured over Stocking Stitch after light steaming.
Needles: Knitted on 6mm circular needles, 60 cm cable. 6mm circular needles, 40 cm cable for neckline and armholes.
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
