This pattern teaches the fusible appliqué method I use for every patch I make — trace, fuse, cut, stitch. Learn it here and you can build almost any shape you can draw.

The record itself is eight wedges, so it's a great excuse to finally use those pieces you've been saving because they're too pretty to throw out and too small to do anything with.

I made mine on a scrap of old denim. It would be a great as a patch or framed as a small art piece.

What you'll need

Fabric scraps, a background scrap (denim or something with a little weight), Pellon Wonder Under 805, scissors, an iron, pins, and a sewing machine or a needle and thread. No sewing machine? There's a no-sew option in the pattern.

Good for beginners. No curved piecing, no seam allowances, no matching points. If you can trace a line and press an iron, you can make this.

Make it your own. Move the circles, swap the sun for a flower, add stitched grooves around the record. It's meant to be changed.
