NASA Dragonfly Rotorcraft
NASA Dragonfly Rotorcraft - For use in ROBLOX Studio
IMPORTANT: This is not an original design, this is a recreation of a real-world mission by NASA.
Dragonfly is a rotorcraft mission to explore Saturn's moon Titan by making flights to various sites separated by tens of kilometres and making measurements over a period of more than two years. The primary goal is to explore the chemistry and habitability of multiple surface sites covering a large area.
This high quality recreation of the Dragonfly Rotorcraft took months of 3D modelling on Autodesk and features accurate details from the real design. It has intelligent AI functionality in aid of its navigation, and some sound/visual effects. Additionally, there are some adjustable settings to change its flight altitude, duration etc.
There is also a manually controlled version included in this model for players to fly.
Controls:
- Forwards - W
- Backwards - S
- Yaw Left - A
- Yaw Right - D
- Increase Altitude - LShift
- Decrease Altitude - LCtrl
Important Info: This model was designed to function in a low Workspace gravity (4.9), but I've found it works up to around 12. If you need higher gravity, you can increase the rotorcrafts linear velocity force, the default value is 1500, and I found 10000 works well.
This model is intended for use in game development on ROBLOX, but you are welcome to use it for studying my work and learning, however it is strictly forbidden to share or resell this model to others.
You must give credit when publishing videos or games with this model.
