Rope Magic

Geared toward intermediate to advanced performers. You will need to buy supplies for some of the tricks, though most performers will already own what they need.

The ten routines

• Basic Cut and Restored Rope. Uses an easy method and ends with a vanishing knot. Can be performed with or without a helper.
• Vishnu Rope Mystery. Uses a more advanced and more deceptive method to cut and restore the rope.
• Professor's Nightmare. Three different lengths of rope are shown and then made to become all the same size. An excellent false count and finish is shown to restore the ropes to their original sizes.
• Ropes and Rings. A couple of basic ring and rope methods are shown so you can create your own routines, with a quick sample of the different rings that can be used. The Chanin ring on rope link, a visual link on rope, and two ways to remove the ring from the rope. Shown with a close up section for the ring off rope recap.
• Ring Toss. Another great way to link a ring onto the rope. It looks impossible.
• Three Way Cut and Restored Rope. My version of the cut rope, which can be played for comedy using a helper on stage. Includes a square knot explanation for making pop off knots.
• Hunter's Bow Knot. Rudy Hunter's awesome way to show the world's fastest knot, tied into a bow just like tying your shoes.
• Rope Through Neck. An impossible penetration effect. Can be performed with ropes or even a scarf.
• Impossible Knot. Another great rope effect by Rudy Hunter. You have a helper on stage and they have to do what you do to make a knot. No matter how hard they try, they cannot do it. I have used this in sales meetings and had everyone wearing a tie try to do what I do, to no avail.
• Soft Rope. A length of rope and a handkerchief are shown. The handkerchief is tied around the rope and then melts through it.
