Four Eyes

Four Eyes, created by John Robert Beck in 2010, presents a delicate interplay between symmetry, light, and abstract form. At its center, rounded shapes resembling watchful eyes or soft lenses anchor the composition, surrounded by translucent layers and flowing color trails. Subtle textures and fine linework weave through the piece, while bursts of color add moments of energy against an otherwise serene backdrop.

The artwork suggests perception from multiple viewpoints, as if observing the same space through overlapping lenses. The soft, neutral tones provide a calming foundation, while the vibrant accents introduce motion and complexity. This balance between stillness and movement gives the piece a contemplative, almost meditative quality, encouraging viewers to explore both the structure and emotion within the composition.
