The Signal Chain:

• LA Studio Comp: A legendary optical compressor that provides a smooth, "finished" studio feel. It levels out the Jazz Bass's sensitive dynamics before they hit the filter and drive.
• Mutant Filter: A vintage-voiced envelope filter that adds "quack" and funk-inspired movement. It responds dynamically to your touch, making it perfect for expressive lines and lead fills.
• Split Path:
• Teemah!: Placed on a side path to add transparent, grit-filled saturation. By splitting the signal, you maintain the "Super J" clarity on one side while blending in the aggressive harmonic bite on the other.
• Ampeg B-15NF: The industry-standard tube amp for studio bass. It provides the warm, bouncy mid-range and organic compression that makes a Jazz Bass sing.
• Spring Reverb: Provides a classic, splashy depth. This adds a sense of "room" and 60s/70s vibe, preventing the signal from sounding overly clinical.
• Regal Bass DI: Replicates the deep, transformer-driven warmth of a high-end tube DI. This acts as the final "anchor" for your low-end, ensuring it remains massive and authoritative.
• Retro Reel: Mimics the saturation and slight "wow and flutter" of a vintage tape deck. It smooths out the top-end transients for a warm, recorded-off-the-tape sound.
