Stafford Motor Speedway - Pro drift layout
Stafford Motor Speedway for Assetto Corsa
My recreation of Stafford Motor Speedway for Assetto Corsa, including the layout used during the Formula Drift event in June 2026. I may add the oval layout later.
Stafford’s half-mile asphalt oval in Connecticut makes for a compact drift course with wall rides, fast transitions, and tandem battles finishing in front of the grandstands. I wanted to capture that New England short-track atmosphere alongside an accurate driving surface.
I had the opportunity to propose and help fine-tune the layout two drivers liaison team. Over two test days with multiple teams, we tested two of my proposed layouts, and I even got to drift the final version myself. Those visits also gave me the opportunity to scan the newest pavement. On the first day, we tested the initial option. On the second, we tried my manji suggestion, which received positive feedback from the teams. It later sparked plenty of discussion on Instagram and the teams Discord, and I was glad to see so much support for it.
The zones changed slightly at the event, so I rescanned the painted markings to recreate the layout as accurately as possible. I built the simulator track from scratch using my own on-site scans and photography.
Features:
- 24 pit spaces
- Trackside replay cameras
- RainFX support
- Night lighting
- Laser-scanned surface
- Custom start lights
