Give Your Prop Skeleton Real Joints — Posable Hips, Knees & Ankles

Tired of your skeleton standing there stiff as a board? This digital file kit adds working hinge joints at the hips, knees, and ankles, so you can pose it naturally — sitting, kneeling, reaching, whatever your scene calls for.

Designed and sized for Home Depot's 12 Ft. Giant-Sized Skeleton.

What you get (digital download):

  • 13 STL files, printing out to 25 parts total (joint hinges + leg connectors)
  • A step-by-step build guide with photos, covering printing, assembly, and mounting
  • Recommended print settings, a PVC cut reference, and a hardware checklist

Assembly required. This is a set of digital files, not a finished or pre-printed product. You'll need access to a 3D printer (PETG-capable) and basic hand tools, and you'll need to source PVC pipe and hardware locally — everything you need to know is covered in the included instructions.

What's NOT included: the skeleton itself, PVC pipe, hardware, filament, or a 3D printer.

Beginner-friendly — no special tools or permanent modifications to your prop.

What you'll need to source locally:

A 3/4" PVC pipe section, plus basic hardware — hex bolts, wing nuts, and sheet metal screws in a couple of sizes. All standard hardware-store items; nothing specialty. Exact cut lengths and hardware counts are in the included build guide.

Are all the joints the same print?

The hinge itself (the male/female pair that actually rotates) is identical and reused at all 6 joints — hip, knee, and ankle, both legs. What differs is the connector that attaches each hinge to the leg, since the upper leg, shin, hip, and foot all have different shapes. 13 unique files print out to 25 parts total, fully broken down in the included instructions.

You will get the following files:
  • DOCX (3MB)
