The Lost Birthday Star | Printable Party Quest

The Birthday Star has vanished from the celebration, leaving eight puzzles and a secret word behind. Invite children to become Star Solvers in a cooperative printable quest designed for an adult to host at home. It can be played as a gentle indoor hunt or entirely around a table.

This is a complete small party experience rather than a page of riddles. The eight original puzzles mix repeating patterns, a number-to-letter code, a directional grid, shape recognition, picture equations, a guest-order logic problem, a word search and an anagram. Each checked answer gives the team a badge letter. The letters combine into a final word, leading to a celebratory star reveal. Separate answer keys explain every step, while two-stage hints help an adult offer support without immediately giving away the answer.

The matching A4 and US Letter PDFs each contain the same 22-page kit: a cover, three host-planning pages, eight puzzle pages, a secret-word tracker, eight optional station signs, two invitations, two certificates, an opening and ending story, hint cards, answer keys and a final star coloring page. Invitation and certificate details are handwritten. A separate START-HERE guide makes the print order and page choices easy to follow.

Suggested for ages 6-9 with reading help as needed, and for one child or one cooperative team of 2-6. Print extra sets for more teams. Plan approximately 20-40 minutes of play plus setup; actual time varies. You need a printer or print service, paper, pencils and an adult host. Envelopes are optional.
