38 - Monika SLWC (Chapter 2)

Summary:

Bevor der Eingriff beginnt, erklärt der Orthopäde jeden Schritt der Behandlung und informiert Monika darüber, dass er ihre Strumpfhose aufschneiden muss, um den Gips korrekt anlegen zu können. Sie antwortet, dass das kein Problem sei und dass das Wichtigste sei, möglichst schnell wieder gesund zu werden.

Während der Gips angelegt wird, verfolgt Monika alles aufmerksam, beobachtet jedes Detail und stellt dem Arzt einige Fragen. Irgendwann fragt sie, wie sie mit dem Gips laufen soll. Daraufhin gibt ihr der Arzt einen Gummiabsatz und erklärt, wie dieser funktioniert. Fasziniert von der Neuheit bemerkt sie, dass sie so etwas noch nie zuvor gesehen hat, und scherzt, dass sie dadurch zumindest ein wenig größer sein wird.

Am Ende betrachtet Monika ihren neuen Gips mit einem Lächeln, sagt, dass ihr das Ergebnis sehr gefällt, und erzählt, dass sie sich schon darauf freut, Schokolade zu bekommen und Unterschriften ihrer Freunde auf dem Gips zu verewigen.

Before starting the procedure, the orthopedic doctor explains each step of the treatment and informs Monika that he will need to cut her pantyhose in order to apply the cast properly. She replies that she does not mind and that the most important thing is to recover as soon as possible.

While the cast is being applied, Monika pays close attention, observing every detail and asking the doctor a few questions. At one point, she asks how she will be able to walk with the cast. The doctor then hands her a rubber cast heel and explains how it works. Fascinated by the novelty, she comments that she has never seen anything like it before and jokes that, at least, she will be a little taller.

At the end, Monika looks at her new cast boot with a smile, says that she loves the result, and comments that she is looking forward to receiving chocolates and getting signatures from her friends on the cast.
