Moonlight at Magnolia Station
The last train no longer stopped at Magnolia Station, but Evelyn Hart still unlocked the faded blue doors every morning as if it might. The station had become a museum in all but paperwork, a long room of polished benches, brass clocks, and old photographs that smelled faintly of cedar and summer rain. To Evelyn, it was more than a building. It was the one place in Rosebridge, Tennessee, where time seemed willing to sit still.
