A client agrees quickly, then becomes exhausted, angry or withdrawn. The visible behaviour tells only part of the story. Before You Say Yes: Therapist Practice Pack supports a collaborative look at the function of that response, the client's context and a useful next step.

Formulate the pattern collaboratively with a worked fictional case, prompts for immediate and delayed consequences, and attention to genuine harm, power and responsibility. The guide distinguishes a transdiagnostic interpersonal task from work within wider social anxiety or depression formulations.

Plan proportionate supported practice with accessible communication, client-chosen wording, rehearsal and clear reasons to stop or adapt. Review expected and unexpected outcomes, including practical consequences, repair, prolonged post-event reviewing and situations requiring a different focus or specialist support.

The pack includes a 16-page practitioner guide and six designated blank handouts in printable and fillable editions: 22 unique pages, supplied as three PDFs. Single-practitioner permission covers copying those handouts for your own clients with branding retained. This is an original educational practice aid, not a validated intervention, complete assessment or condition-specific treatment protocol.
