I BELONG | Kujali Teens Reflective Journal
Where do I belong? Can I be myself here? What happens when belonging becomes difficult?
I BELONG is a reflective journal created for teens aged 13 to 17 as they navigate friendship, identity, fitting in, comparison, connection, exclusion and finding their own voice. Rather than telling teens what to think or who to become, the journal creates space for them to notice, reflect and make their own choices. Through thoughtful prompts, creative activities, fictional scenarios and Kujali Pauses, teens are invited to explore five movements:
Where Do I Belong?
Exploring the people, places and communities where they experience connection.
Me Around Other People
Noticing how relationships, values and the desire to belong can influence choices.
Fitting In, Belonging & Being Myself
Exploring comparison, friendship changes, social media, appearance, inclusion and making room for others.
When Belonging Hurts
Making space for loneliness, rejection, friendship hurt, online experiences, difficult situations and knowing when to reach for support.
Belonging to Me
Coming back to their own voice, values, relationships and the person they are still becoming. Throughout the journal, teens are reminded that they do not have to answer every question. They can write, draw, doodle, skip a page, return later or simply pause. There is no perfect way to use I BELONG.

A note for parents, caregivers and educators
I BELONG is a reflective resource, not therapy or a clinical assessment. Some pages explore experiences such as loneliness, peer pressure, exclusion, bullying, online harm and asking for support. The journal encourages teens to involve a trusted adult when something feels unsafe, frightening, overwhelming or too difficult to carry alone. The journal respects a young person's privacy while reinforcing that they do not need to manage difficult experiences by themselves.
