I love to cook which is why you will often find my characters whipping something up in the kitchen. I’ve been collecting recipes since my teenage years and seldom kept track of where I got them. That’s the reason few have official credits. There’s also my penchant for making adjustments to the work of others so the recipes are no longer original.

And like cooks have over the centuries, I’ve traded recipes with family, friends and co-workers. I’ve pulled from unique cookbooks – the kind you won’t find anywhere but in some small community – schools, churches, clubs, and friends.
