Fall behind on papers? Sort each one into skim, read or deep-read, set a weekly reading quota you can actually hit, log one takeaway and the citation, and build your lit review by topic as you go.

What's included

- Weekly reading quota for skims, full reads and deep reads, with a reading slot and a weekly streak

- Triage queue with Skim, Read and Deep-read columns, a "why it's here" tag, and a guide to choosing a depth

- Paper log with authors, year, venue, DOI, one-sentence key takeaway, method notes, a 1–5 usefulness score and a citation field (fill it from the fields, then copy it)

- Searchable log, so you can find a paper again instead of re-reading it

- Lit-review tracker by topic: tagged papers gather under each theme, with notes on where they agree, where they disagree and the gap your work fills

- "Read with a goal" prompts you can attach to any paper before you open it

- Every tool: autosave in your browser, Export JSON backup, Import, Clear, Print, and a "see it with sample data" view (tables also export to CSV)

- START-HERE.txt (how to open, save, back up and print) and LICENSE.txt (personal use)

Who it's for

Master's and PhD students, and anyone starting a literature review, who have a pile of unread PDFs, feel guilty about not "keeping up", and want a realistic system for deciding what to read, how deeply, and what to remember.

How it works

1. Buy and download the zip file.

2. Unzip it, open the folder and double-click index.html.

3. Add papers to the queue, pick a depth and a goal, and log a takeaway when you finish. Everything saves automatically in your browser.

4. Use Export JSON now and then as a backup, and Print when you want a paper copy.

FAQ

Do I need an account or internet?

No. You download a folder, unzip it and open index.html in your browser. It works offline. There's no account, no subscription and no tracking.

Where is my data stored?

Only in your own browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to Grad-IQ or anyone else. If you switch browsers or computers, or clear your browsing data, use Export JSON first and Import it on the other side.

Which browsers work?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer. You can also open it on a phone or tablet if your device can open a local HTML file, but a computer is easiest.

Can I print it?

Yes. Every tool has a Print button with a clean print layout.

Can I try it first?

Yes. Open the planner and click "See it with sample data" to explore it with fictional papers first. Sample data is never saved over your own plan.

Can I share it with my lab or cohort?

The license is for one person. Please don't share or resell the files. For a group or department license, contact Grad-IQ.

Does it find or store the papers themselves?

No. It tracks your reading: titles, links or DOIs, notes and citations. Keep the PDFs in your usual folder or reference manager. Check generated citations against the style guide your program uses.

You will get a ZIP (183KB) file
