Form and function can happily coexist: This sweater was inspired by the geometric patterns I found in various manhole covers and other metal plates put in place by my city’s public works department.
Worked from the top down, this pullover incorporates beginner-friendly stranded colorwork motifs at the yoke, lower hem, and wrists. It has a relaxed fit, like your favorite old sweatshirt, and uses optional short rows to raise the back. The sample was made using a beautiful breed-specific Shetland yarn from the Ross Farm, a Pennsylvania Heritage Farm.
