Four Lightroom presets developed for street photography: two film-inspired colour looks and two distinct black-and-white treatments, built to strengthen colour, contrast and atmosphere while preserving the character of the original photograph.

The Critical Point — Street Presets is a collection of four Lightroom presets developed from the editing style I use in my own street photography.

The pack is designed for photographs shaped by strong light, deep shadows, colour relationships, gesture and the visual tension of everyday life. Rather than forcing every image into the same finish, each preset provides a considered starting point while leaving exposure, white balance and local adjustments in your hands.

The Four Looks

TCP 01 — Balanced

A versatile colour preset with controlled contrast, open shadows and natural but expressive colour. Designed for everyday street photography and changing light.

TCP 02 — Lo-Fi

A bolder, film-inspired colour treatment with deeper blacks, warmer highlights and cooler shadows. Made for graphic scenes, hard light and strong colour relationships.

TCP 03 — B&W Balanced

A contrast-rich black-and-white preset inspired by the direct, textured character of Ilford HP5. It gives street photographs stronger separation, defined light and a classic monochrome feel without losing useful tonal detail.

TCP 04 — B&W Nostalgic

A softer and more atmospheric black-and-white look, with faded tones, lifted shadows and more pronounced grain. Designed for quieter photographs, memory and a slightly worn, nostalgic feeling.

The presets do not overwrite exposure, white balance, sharpening, noise reduction, lens corrections, crop, geometry or masks. These decisions remain specific to each photograph.

For the most consistent results, start with a RAW file, apply the preset, then adjust exposure and white balance to suit the scene. Results will naturally vary between cameras, sensors and lighting conditions.
